Hello and welcome from the highlands of BC. When somebody asks me what the occasion is when I'm kilted I just say Tuesday, or Saturday, or whatever day it happens to be...oh, wait, I'm retired...everyday is a Tuesday...

Arlen: Would you say that there are some elements of style that Hamish always employs?
GDub: And a fine choice it is!
CSCunningham: Very possibly.
RB51: Why Tuesday? Is that for the Early Bird Specials?

Kiltshot,
Tuesdays are Senior Citizen discount days at many establishments. I will keep my eyes open in Hyannis next summer.
If you can get up to Lincoln, New Hampshire next September 17, 18, 19th, the New Hampshire Highland Games is three days of kilted bliss on Loon Mountain with a lot of Scottish cultural activity. CSCunningham and I would love to see you there. He will be in the Clan Cunningham tent, and I will be in the Clan MacNeil tent.
I do get asked if I play the pipes once in awhile, as I am learning them now, my performing skills are not yet fully developed. I had my pipes with me on the way to lessons one night when a couple that were well intoxicated asked if I played the pipes, and could I do so. I gave them a concert of drone tuning and chanter drills. They dropped a tenner in my bag. The lesson went well as I had already warmed up and tuned the pipes.
