Letheren - Agreed, and my apologies to the OP. It's so hard to grasp meaning behind words that are only typed. Like most who have been part of message boards in the past, I found myself applying formulas to the OP to determine him a troll instead of being a gentleman and trying to understand what the questions at hand were. So again, my sincerest apologies to the OP and I certainly hope none of the more curmudgeonly of us haven't dissuaded him from investigating further. It was an honest question and as such, I will answer:
I don't have a kilt yet so, I'm not altogether qualified BUT I will say I am attracted to kiltwearing due to the aforementioned comfort, sense of 'different' (some would call 'odd') style, and because I simply like the look. All of this was inspired because of my discovery of a Scottish family heritage in the MacNaughton clan and a trip to Scotland where the MacNaughtons last lived. I was so moved by visiting these sights and felt such an affinity with the beauty of that area of Scotland (heck, ALL of Scotland!) that I wanted to connect in some way. Thus the desire for a kilt in the MacNaughton tartan......that I haven't gotten yet but am hoping that Santa will deliver post-haste!
Hope that (finally) answers your question!
Cheers!
