    Jones Over! (Until Next Time!)

For various reasons, a number of my recent Christmas purchases are expected to arrive by post, (and UPS, and FEDEX) today. In order to minimize the difficulty of retrieving them, I chose to take today off from work,

A short time ago, my doorbell rang, and a lovely lady from FEDEX handed me a package. Contained within was this:

I recently ordered this kilt knowing that I was taking a bit of a risk on the tartan. I was warned of the "lawn chair effect" of pleating to the stripe with a tartan that displayed a great deal of contrast between the primary colors.

Even so, I reasoned, with the wide sett and the fact that it is intended for festive occasions, it should look spiffy.

So, I put it to the rabble, did my gamble pay off?

(Yes, yes...I'll get pictures of me in it this weekend. It's our annual St. Andrew's Society Christmas party.)

I like it. What tartan is it? Who made the kilt?

Sorry, I should have replied sooner, but I'm a bit under the weather. The tartan is called MacDonald Dress Irish. It's a Scotweb kilt.
