I am a physician who works with children on a daily basis. I guess you could call me a "casual" or Hobby kilt wearer, although only one of my kilts is of the casual style and it still in tartan. I wear them when I can or want to but definitely far from daily, and only occasionally to work. I seek out opportunites to justify wearing the kilt to my wife (she is not a fan) so highland games, celtic festivals, special events, etc.. are my general opportunities besides the occasional around town or to work on weekends, and occasionally on weekdays when I am not clinical. Oh, and on the golf course.
Everybody here has their own reason for wearing the kilt and their own kilt wearing pattern for those reasons. You too will find yours over time.
Wecome to the rabble. from the highlands of Kentucky.
