I have kilt envy!
I'm a piper and I always feel a bit odd wearing my Scottish tartan kilt when playing at Irish-themed events. I really need to get a saffron kilt.
I love the look of a saffron kilt combined with a deep green kilt jacket.
What sort of sporran (if any) and jacket (if any) do you saffron kilt wearers favour? What sort of hose and shoes and other accessories?

The kilt look great and the kilt pin even better. Congratulations.
I like the breeze between my knees

I recently purchased this same SWK Saffron and it makes it's debut Sunday at my wife's Christmas party. Commenting on someone's remarks on hose, I purchased Lovat Green hose from W. Brewin & Co. on your side of the pond (they are in Leicester) to go with the kilt. Additionally I got River Pattern kilt hose toppers from Flamingo Kilts on the recommendation of another member here. Thanks for the pics!

I find I like green and black best with my saffron. I have a brown daywear sporran that I like to wear with my saffron, as well. For dressier occasions, I will wear either a white evening sporran or a black semidress.

Until I find myself a white wooly sweater to go with my cream hose, I'm going to stick to black hose and black shirt with this kilt.
Thanks for the comments everyone. I look grumpy in the one photo because I was using the timer on the camera and had been waiting soooo long with a (fixed smile on my face) I was beginning to wonder if I had set the timer off!

I think that's an excellent choice. The black looks great with it. Normally I think black kilt hose looks odd, maybe because I see a lot of senile old men running around wearing black dress socks pulled up to their knees with Bermuda shorts and I equate it with that. But in your case, with a saffron kilt and matching flashes and that wonderful pin, it just looks "right".

Here's what I wear to Irish themed gigs. My stillwater Saffron acrylic and I bought 2 of the acrylic full plaids and made them into a Piper's plaid. It is a smash everytime I wear it. Unfortunately I became too thin for the kilt, so I sold it, but I'm planning on a proper Saffron here shortly.

Here are some Pipe Band looks with saffron:
The "real deal", the Royal Irish Rangers Pipe Band:
Here's a US pipe band following that look:
Here's a very nice look combing tweed and saffron, a band that marched in NYC St Patrick's Day Parade:
Here's piper Dave Gallagher wearing a look inspired by the Irish military look but more practical, with dark green Argyll jacket and Glengarry:

The American band in the second picture is the Brian Boru Pipe band in Minneapolis, Minnesota. (I own their CD)
I rather like the look of the tweed jackets and fawn/lovat green bonnets with the saffron kilt.
