Need to replace a Pipers Plaid

I hope someone here can help me. I need to replace a Pipers Fly Plaid that was part of a kilt set purchased in 2005 from Hector Russell, Canada. I know that they have changed hands, so I am wondering how I am to approach them about matching the same fabric. Is this even possible?
The other problem is I cannot find the paperwork from the origional purchase. I have the kilt, but how do I describe to them the size of the set, etc? It is important to get this right, obviously.

    Suggestions?

I have had many dealings with Hector Russell Canada (now Caringorm Scottish Imports) and have found Darren and his employees to be wonderful. I would suggest phoning them

I really think they will be able to help I do not think you will ever get the wool to match exactly, as from one weaving to the next there are differences, however going back to the source would be I think the best course of action.

If you have the original kilt, you might try scanning it with a ruler placed next to it, so that they can measure the sett. Good luck.

Great idea on the ruler. I will do it both in metric and inches.
    Brilliant!
