Maybe it's because I'm new here. But why does the principal not allow you to wear your Kilt? For prom... Here we do not really have prom, so what is the normal dresscode for a prom, and how strict are the rules? I just wore my kilt to a student diner/ball it was no problem. Only had lots and lots of compliments.

Well, I've been in the same position as you have. I ended up just wearing it and not making a deal about it. if it helps here are some pictures of myself and my date as well as my friend and his date. I am in a blackwatch SWK Standard and he is in a USAKilt in the US Navy Tartan (originally he was going to try and wear it as his proper sea cadets uniform, lazy guy never got around to it though.) The school had no problem with it because we were polite and respectful to all. hope that helps. good luck! ~Casey
