Box Pleat machine stitched kilt-My Black Watch material finally put to use!
I tried posting this earlier, but it didn't take. Anyway, After on again, off again working with this kilt , its DONE! It took 2 weeks with about 10 hours of labor...Its actually kinda fun doing a kilt this way somehow-Very relaxed. Anyway, I did 3 buckles, a fringed apron, and lined with this REALLY great material I found at JoAnnes (I actually think its the kind of material they used to make mattresses from. I wore it out today and I'm IN-LOVE with it. While it can't compare to a MAtt Newsome creation, I'm VERY please with how the machine stitching turned out-Very hidden! Also, on the pic showing the apron, it looks like there's a line of black stitch up by the belts. Its actually a shadow from the flash- some reason the apron under fold and fringe placing really pops up in this pic. in normal light its invisiable.--Enjoy the pics-
*NOTE-I hate it when this happens. the full spread looks like some of the pleats are uneven on the left side. They are not, its I just didn't smooth them out nicely, thus they appear incorrect....But they are...I'm sure thats what everyone says!

That is a fine looking kilt. I can't imagine getting the tartan to line up while using a machine.
