Thumbs up What's a good Christmas tartan?

So my wife looked at my collection of kilts on Christmas Day and said that I needed to find a tartan that had more Christmasey kinds of colors in it. So who am I to argue with SWMBO?

Most of my kilts have blues and greens in them, so I think she's suggesting I find a tartan with more reds and greens. So I ask the rabble for suggestions: What would be a good Universal tartan that would have more reds and greens in it? I'm looking for a Universal tartan as I'd rather avoid run-ins with the kilt police... So, any and all suggestions are welcome. Thanks!

I believe Royal Stewart is the original Christmas Tartan.

I think Irish National is pretty Christmas-y, with all that green. If you had a kilt in it, a red waistcoat or sweater-vest, and a tweed jacket over that*, you'd give ol' Kris Kringle a run for his money.

Take a look at the Livingston(e) tartan. We're a small clan that doesn't mind the extra advertisement as long as you know a little bit about us.

    Thumbs up

All good choices, but of course the Caledonia is the untimate Christmas tartan!
