A nice Holiday then a auto wreck

Was coming home with the family Saturday night and someone ran a red light. Fortunately I had time to hit the brakes and instead of getting broadsided I broadsided him. My wife spent five hours in the ER while they were checking out a goose egg on her head (she's fine). Both my boys were very brave and didn't suffer a nick-thank God. I was wearing my new MacLean kilt and my legs hit underneath the dash and suffered two long splits on my shin's, I ended up with very bloody kilt hose and a boot full of blood along with other minor injuries. We were very lucky and my Nissan truck saved us.

I'm so glad everyone is alright. Hopefully the damage to the truck can be fixed or it can be replaced.

Glad to hear you are all safe. It must have been very frightening for your kids. It's fortunate your reactions were good.

Great to hear that you all got through such a terrifying and dangerous incident with relatively minor injuries. Hope you are all back to peace of mind very quickly.

Thanks all, it was very frightening for both Ellie and I, we both instinctively placed our left and right arms respectively between the front bucket seats to help stop the boys if they broke free of their belts. They were very brave but became somewhat upset seeing their Mom carried away by rescue and their Dad covered with blood from the knees down.

Glad to hear you are all OK and that everybody was wearing their seat belt! If only more people understood how important that is [/soapbox]

I'm glad to hear that you all escaped serious injury. Trucks and kilt hose can be replaced.

    Cheers
