I am honored by all the thanks you guys have given me for my service. Thank you all for that. It has truly lifted my spirits today, and I thank you for that.

And thank you all for the comments on my kilt. I'm very proud of it. It is the first kilt I have purchased that is not a traditional-type kilt and although I prefer my traditional ones, I've decided I like this one very much too.

If I can find a way to get a picture of myself wearing this kilt while standing on the roof of the Victory Over America Palace (which we bombed the snot out of, might I add) I will make sure to post it here (provided I don't get into to much trouble trying to get the photo...the kilt is not exactly a regulation/permitted clothing item...).

Tomorrow is my office's "Favorite Hat" day, and I will be proudly wearing my glengarry! Too bad there's no way I can get them to let me wear my kilt too!

I didn't know the Air Force had "Favorite Hat Day". Maybe Panache could loan you his pith helmet. That might offer a little protection while you're climbing around on rooftops.

Thank you for your service to the people of the US and the people of Iraq. And welcome aboard, by the way, from western North Carolina, the greatest place on Earth!

Actually, the Air Force does not have a "Favorite Hat Day", that is a thing the Army people in my office started. It's good for moral, which I think is the only reason they do it. I was going to wear a helmet, but my 10th century viking helmet replica hasn't arrived yet, lol!

If you're going to get on the roof, go all the way, take your pipes with you. They'd complete the look for your photo.

Nice looking kilt. It's good to see Tiger Stripes are back again.

Thank you for your service from an old grunt.

I've actually been all the way to the top of the palace, and I think I know just the spot for the photo And of course I'll be taking my pipes with me! I might even play them a bit while I'm there!
