Welcome from another military transplant to San Antonio. We've been at the SAHG that last 2-3 years now. Let us know where your band is playing and we'll come by.

Welcome from upstate South Carolina. I too am originally from PA; my family is affiliated with Clan Stewart; and, I got a bodhran for Christmas (from my Italian brother-in-law).

First let me say thank you to everyone for the warm welcome to the forums. Second, for any and all of you if you live in or stop by San Antonio, Sally's Garden (the band I play with) plays every Sunday afternoon from about 2pm to 5pm at Nine Lives Used Bookstore on Loop 410 (between Evers and Callaghan). They also have a website that usually lists their upcoming events. Lyle1, good luck with the bodhran. It is not the easiest of instruments to learn, but it is very rewarding if you stick with it. I love playing mine, and if I can ever be of any help, just let me know. TheSp8, I'm not sure where Sally's Garden will be at the SAHG this year, but when I find out I'll be sure to let you know.
Slaínte,
Robert
