first off welcome rubear, and i' am a senior at my highschool also and i have been wearing my kilts to school since early sophomore year, and i have gotten alot of positive reactions and i' am now known as kiltboy to everyone. the only thing you have to look out for is the other guys who will ridicule you at first...atleast until all the ladies notice you then they back off. A funny thing happened to me actually concerning this. A guy at my school ,who I have never gotten along with, told me i was "un-american" because i wore my kilt. Little did he know that my only kilts are USA kilts from Rocky&Kelly. So i promptly took off the kilt and shoved the tag in his face. Luckily i was wearing boxers that day.
So go for it i say it can inspire many good stories later on like this one
