Crack me up cousin!....you MARRIED another X Marker....

The meeting with LA Scotswoman was planned...but the chance meeting with Ken and Marsha still blows me away as to the odds. And its nice to make kilted friends in person.

Was so cool when Ken came to town last year and there were two of us kilted in our little town. Someone else stopped in briefly too last year, I think Keys.... Makes it real.

I know the meeting was planned, I was talking to Alex last week. Meeting up with Ken though that's amazing. Oh yeah marrying another Xmarker most amazing.

I'd say those were some pretty long odds, Ron. A chance meet up with friends is always a great way to enjoy site seeing.

Very kewl Ron. I really enjoy meeting up with other XMarkers.

Alex, isn't LA Scotswoman a friend (or cousin?) of yours on the Cunningham side?

Yes indeed, Dee, one of the great pleasures about this site is the scope for meeting up with other xmarkers and developing new friendships. It was thanks to this site that you and I first met and became friends, and that Leslie (LAScotswoman) and Ron (Riverkilt) made contact.

You are correct, Dee, I already knew LAScotswoman through Clan Cunningham before she joined xmarksthescot. Cunninghams go everywhere, even to those remote petroglyphs in Arizona!

Ron, great pics as usual, man! How fortuitous to run into other XMarkers like that. And I must say, every time you post a pic wearing that Antarctica Tartan, it reminds me that I want to save my pennies for a kilt length of that! Thanks again.

It was well met indeed! Here's another pic of the well clad gents involved
After meeting Riverkilt & LAScotswoman Marsha and I proceeded to the sun marker, and were delighted to catch the solstice sun dagger at 3PM sharp. It is about an inch off, as it's a week after the solstice when we were there.
And here's a close up of the triple solar marker signifying the winter solstice.
I love ancient sun clocks...always gives me the good kind of chills! I can't imagine how excited I'd be living near Stonehenge or Callandish
Then we climbed up the Sacred Village Mesa. I got a few cactus needles in my hose--ouch! But the view of the Verde Valley from the top was awesome.
All in all, a fabulous New Year's Day--thanks to Riverkilt and LAScotswoman for coming down to our neck of the desert
