    Rocky,

I have to second the other comments, that is a beautiful sporran. I can hardly wait to see the final version. Can you supply dimensions???? How wide, deep, etc. Also, what does the inside look like? I have been customizing my sporrans myself so that I can keep things like my cell phone from rattling around on the bottom of the sporran.

Also, I want to know what you look like when you are actually turned out to your best. I rarely look as good as you do in your "disheveled" early morning picture.

    Cheers,

That's amazing! I took a look at Donnie's web site after seeing this. I think I need to order a custom design for myself. What great work he does.

Love your tweed, looks like the same tweed pattern that you made my kilt out of. The sporran looks like a great one. I bet you'll have a hard time keeping those in stock!

How wonderful to see that the sporran is developing again. Too long there were only cookie-cutter sporrans as Charles Thompson calls them in his book. This is good news for us.

The 'final dimensions' are to a degree, what is up in the air. Donnie and I are working out the details of the stiffness / thickness of the leather, which will SORT OF effect the overall size / depth.

For all intents and purposes, the sporran is 9.5" high and 7.5" wide with a 2" gusset that tapers in toward the top. It's a TINY bit larger than my L & M Hunting that I wear most days.

Marshall... Donnie and I are TOYING with the idea of putting small pocket on the inside to carry change and business cards and credit cards (like on our other private label sporrans). Not sure if it'll be feasable yet (and the cost), but the idea is there.

The one in the picture (and also the first picture on our site link above) is the Estate Tweed Loden Crag Crag. I made the kilt and our jacket maker in Scotland made the jacket / vest.

We have also done PINSTRIPE kilt suits (Kelly calls it my "Scottish Pimp outfit"), but don't have them advertised on our site.

Are the jacket and vest combo's available separately from the kilts in the various tweeds? I am not in need of a tweed kilt, but might desire to match up a couple jacket and vest combos to a couple of my exisiting tanks instead. Yours is one of the few places I have seen offereing beyond the standard charcoal, blue and green lovat tweed daywear, the other being Matt at the STM. Might be nice to have them priced separately as well as in the whole kilt suit package.

Yes, you can buy them separately. Cost is $440 for the jacket and vest together. The jacket alone is $340 and the vest alone is $125. These are the same prices as our standard tweed jackets. I didn't put them on the site as such b/c the market for them is limited and too many options can be a bad thing sometimes.

I fully agree. It's great to see the work of craftsmen like Donnie and Lamar Britt honored by being featured by commercial enterprises.
