I'm such a geek
Look what came in the mail for me today:

I love it. It's so pretty! The only problem is that when I wear it, I get the strangest urge to rule Middle Earth... That feeling will probably pass though, right?

The only problem is that as soon as you put it on you vanish, then we can't see your shining face! :-)

I think it's great, wear it well. I'm sure the feeling will pass though, sometime within the next century or so.
P.S.
I thought they burned my ring, thank you for finding it.

Lol, I had a little grey cat named Gandolf and put a plastic one of those hanging from his collar.
Strangely he disappeared...but it probably had more to do with how cute he was. He was only 2 pounds fully grown

Nah, your dog carted him away.
Wish I could wear that ring ali, but my friends would think I was a desperate single woman looking for a Gandalf. Wait, uh, carry on.

Nice to see you back Ali. One of my friends and his wife exchanges rings like yours for the weeding with a real geek dressed as Gimli. You are a great fan and a nice geeky girl :-)

Don't you know?!
It is the one ring, forged in the fires of Mordor:
Three Rings for the Elven-kings under the sky,
Seven for the Dwarf-lords in their halls of stone,
Nine for Mortal Men doomed to die,
One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne
In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.
One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them,
One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them
In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.
He paused, and then said in a deep voice,
"This is the Master-Ring, the One Ring to rule them all.
This is the One Ring lost many years ago,
to the great weakening of its maker's power.
Now, he greatly desires to have it again,
- but he must NOT get it"
