USA Kilts #24 & 25

When I joined this board the praise for USA Kilts was so high and so constant that I figured there must be a catch - must be some sort of scam.

But back in September of 2005 I took a risk and ordered up my first USA Kilt.

Now, I just hung up from talking to Kelly and ordering my 24th and 25th USA Kilt. They're the real deal folks.

After seeing Kenneth's Isle of Skye in PV a couple days ago I'm sold on that tartan - Skye is the homeland of my ancestors.

Also ordered up a MacPherson Hunting, its a thin blood line of mine and also the last name of a former girlfriend who was always trying to stab me. Nothing personal, she just had a thing for knives and blood. Sort of a reminder to choose carefully when it comes to women.

Both are gonna be casuals. I'd switched to semi-trads but my trip to Maui convinced me that casuals are the best thing for long flights and high humidity. I've been invited to spend a long weekend on the Rivera Maya in Quintana Roo, Mexico in a few months. Some searching found that kilts aren't uncommon amoung tourists in the Cancun -Cazumel area.

So now will have a wardrobe of six USA Casual kilts for an 8 day stay.

Congrats on the new jonesing...I mean, order.
My first kilt from Rocky is a casual in MacPherson hunting. (see pics HERE) I can't be happier with it. I wore it with that black shirt on Christmas, with a charcoal grey sweater on New Years and look forward to dressing it up a bit more with a soon to be modified jacket.

Anyway, I agree whole-heartedly with your praise of USAK. I only have one of Rocky's semi-trads, but when I have more money....

Excellent choices Ron.
I also can recommend USA kilts, though I only have one USAK, a semi-trad in Hunting MacLeod pleated to the yellow stripe.

Thanks for the pics New Englander. Kinda difficult to jones when I've already collected so many kilts...but its still there..."whenz it gonna come?" "Hurry up Rocky" "I don't wanna stand in line I want it NOW!"

At least its still cold cold weather here so no real need for it until summer arrrives in Arizona in late January...

25 USAKs! Damn Ron, they should not only rush your order, they should have your picture prominently displayed on the wall behind the cash register.

I've got 5 USAKs (a 5 yarder, 3 semi trads and a casual)--all fine kilts! My 6th will most likely be another 5 yarder but I'm having a hard time deciding on the (Irish) tartan. Now if Rocky would post a pic of himself in his All Ireland blue... (hint hint)

OK... I get the hint. I took these a few weeks back but wasn't happy with them (the one came out very grainy and the white background washes out the colors in the cloth). I was exploring different color options with vests and jacket (and tie) mixes... colors in the kilt.

Congrats on all your USA Kilts. I can only claim ownership of one USAK Casual (so far that is). But I had the pleasure of visiting their store and being fitted by Rocky and Kelly.
