I attended Burns Dinner at a location where none of the group I associate have attended in the past. I was concerned about how to dress. It was a kilt of course but casual, semi-formal, I did not know. As it turned out some were casual (good heavens even in jeans of all things) up to semi-formal. Less than half had on a kilt. I wore the same as last year when I attended at another location. In the future if the sponsor does not specify the type of dress then I shall feel free to make my own decision based on how fancy, or not, I think the event should be.
