Mike,
Try to go in June when they have the Taste of Scotland festival in Franklin. I went with my wife when we were in the Smokies for our honeymoon and had a great time!
Matt,
The doublet and jabot definitely work well together. I'm not sure I got a picture of myself for the Baton Rouge Burns Night, but I finally tried out a crevat. If I ever decide to break down and get a doublet, I may just have to get one similar to yours... that charcoal tweed just works so well.

I'd drive for a couple of hours to hang out at such a grand looking affair.

We did drive a couple of hours. We were staying in Pidgeon Forge, TN for our honeymoon and made the drive through the mountains. A lovely drive to be sure, although it was exhausting for me as I'm used only to large flat expanses of road. But it was definitely worth it.
