I do enjoy beer and wine, but usually prefer milk or Coke.

I voted Beer based on volume ! But the only other adult beverage I drink is Whiskey. And maybe some Loki at renfaire.

I just noticed that "ale" is a separate category from "beer" in the voting options. Paul, do you think you can change that before I accidentally give in the my beer geek tendencies and start a thread-jack on beer styles?

My classification system on many, many topics has many flaws due to my personal biases. I dont like most ales (especially modern ones), though, I like most beers

By "beer" do you mean "lager"? Ales and lagers are different types of beers, categorized (in the simplest terms) by their fermentation temperatures.
It's not a big deal at all...but I'm just sayin'...

Well now, a subject near and dear to my heart! My favorite cocktail is a Bombay Sapphire martini up, a little dirty with anchovie olives, best with Noilly Prat vermouth and I do like a little vermouth in there (4:1).

Other than that, there's probably not a "free hydroxyl group" that I don't appreciate and it really depends on the time of day, event or season. Remember, life's too short to drink cheap booze, beer or wine.

I voted ale, because I'm not a fan of lager. My other favourites are wine and Scotch whisky. I'll drink almost anything, though.
