Mr Cromwell looks very good indeed.
I see that he is that he is wearing a balmoral with a PC. From comments I've seen here on XMTS and in the various kilt-wearing books I've always had the impression that a glengary should be worn with a PC. Though I certainly don't know why as I like the look of the balmoral.

While that may be some individuals' preference, both are equally appropriate for outdoor wear with Highland attire. I recall someone here stating that they thought the Glengarry looked more formal, but I would submit that is only a subjective assessment. To me, the Glengarry always look military, regardless if they are diced or not. I'm with you and have always been a "Balmoral guy"!

Filmography of James Cromwell, recent, abbreviated
James Cromwell has been nominated for an Oscar, three Emmys, and four Screen Actors Guild Awards for his acting in titles like "The Green Mile", "L.A. Confidential", "ER", "Six Feet Under" and others. He is also well-known for his more recent roles in the television series "24", and in the science fiction films "I, Robot" (my favorite, he's the chief scientist that gets killed) and "Surrogates".
For a full (very impressive) list, see
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Cromwell
(This includes "The Queen", mentioned before in this thread.)
Apparently, he has a very good agent. He stays busy!

Very nice of the studio to send along a photo with the rental return. Hope you get to see your kilt in action when the movie come out.

He certainly does. You also have some very fine wedding pictures on your web site. Happy customers of yours, obviously.
Thanks for sharing.

A fine resume, but I remember him best as Stretch Cunningham on the old All in the Family TV series.

Probably not his most memorable role, but I can't look at him without envisioning him as Farmer Hoggett in the movie Babe, where he says, "That'll do, pig." I don't know why that role sticks in my mind when I see him, but it does.

And please do not forget that JC plays Zefram Cochrane, the inventor of warp drive, in Star Trek.
How can you not love a post-apocalyptic genius recluse who plays "Magic Carpet Ride" on the in-starship stereo while he's breaking the light speed barrier?
Best
