how can they moderate a 24/7 forum? they all live in the same time zone.

Moderators never sleep -- that's one of the recruiting requirements.

Now that explains the blue glow in the windows of FK at all hours of day and night, Knome, but what really is a moderator after all the blue has greyed and the sun has risen? That would be from your perspective, of course of course.
