    Robert, I quite like those hose in red, though, I don't have a red-ish kilt to wear them with at all!

    My first thought was school socks (not public school, just school). Many junior schools, here in the UK, had very similar socks. Often with a different coloured turn down to denote the house.



    They could work with a kilt, but I don't like them being nylon.
