    Cool

I wish I wore a kilt oftern enough to have that reflexive habit . . . but I'm working on it!!

I have done that also. A few times it has been around those that are not aware of my kilts. I have received a few strange looks.

Funny question. I guess I do on occasion find myself sweeping non-existent pleats. I have not yet tried "reaching for the selvedge on my front apron", but I am sure it is just a matter of time.

It happens once in a while when getting into the car. I haven't done it anywhere else,...yet.

I am afraid of having the reverse problem the first time I have the opportunity to wear a kilt. When wearing trousers (avoiding the dreaded "p" word) I grip the legs twixt thumb and forefinger so I can hitch them up a bit in order to avoid stretching the fabric in the knees. Now that I am 52 this action is reflexive and could provide great amusement for those around me should I perform that action whilst kilted.
