Buckles are fairly simple, I did it myself to my kilt. Just move you right hand buckle(s) back and your left hand strap forward. Depending on the amount you move them, you may need to re fold and hem the under apron, but this is simple.

New Member from Highlands Ranch area
Hi all,
I'm off to the UK in just under two weeks to pick up my handmade kilt and bring it back to Colorado (and spend a week doing things in Ireland before I return). I'm happy to be part of this group and look forward to some future interaction and get togethers! I'm so glad I live here now instead of TX b/c the wool will come in handy here!
