A Promise Kept
OK, here are pictures of me and my buddy and at his welcome home party at the Flint VFW last Friday. He arrived back from the Middle East the week before. It was my first kilted trip out of the house and He was unaware that I would be. The only one I knew there was him. Not surprisingly, he went back to his house and got kilted up so I wouldn't be the only one getting the attention. I'm not sure who the brunette is that my arm is around.
Again, a BIG THANK YOU to lethearen for the kilt.
The story about how I came about to be kilted and where I got the kilt made it's way around the hall. Well over a dozen folks wanted to pass along a thank you to you as well. I am still looking to our original plans, carousing the town in kilts on the 17th. Also excited, and a bit nervous, for my next kilted public appearance. It's in front of my whole hometown in our St. Patrick's Day parade next Saturday.

Something happened to the pictures, I can't see them. Your post was a great teaser and makes me eager to see the pics.

Don't worry, your first trip out will be fine. After that, it will get easier and easier each time, plus, just think about all the other brunettes (and redheads, and blondes, etc) out there!

I love the kilt "attitude"....particularly the thumbs in the waistband of the kilt pose...!!

Congrats on your first out-of-house experience ... Hopefully the first of many ... just one word of advice, buy some thick skin and learn to ignore the uninformed and amateur comedians ... Sorry I had a bad one tonight ... Again congrats don't let me discourage you ... WE, the kilted rabble, are all proud of you.

Obviously you need to return to the VFW and find out who the brunette is.
She will have problem remembering you as the dude in the kilt.

My wife would disagree with that......but that will be one of our stops on St Patrick's day.
