So they have moved it up to May 8 & 9 instead of September. Millennium Park instead of Grant Park!

And bless those nice folks from Nova Scotia for what looks like major sponsorship.

Thanks for the heads up John. I would have missed it completely. I wonder why they made such a radical date change?

As far as I know, the city has had to totally rearrange all of the "fests" and lots of stuff has been cut because of budget restraints. It's gotta be tough to try to keep Chicago viable as a tourist destination while dealing with these tough times and the problem of so many conventions bypassing Chicago for other locations.

My wife speculates that they just got tired of dealing with the iffy weather. I believe that several of us got treated to that delightful and invigorating cold shower that was provided at no-additional-cost-to-you a couple of years ago.

I've yet to see how or if they're going to deal with any Highland Athletics...they may just be dispensing with them.

Maybe so, but you court the same kind of weather that early in May. We've all seen snow furries as late as Memorial day up there.
