This is a great idea! Maybe you could remove post count as well? Or just display it in the person's profile if they/somebody else really wants to know.

My wife asked me what my old rank and/or title was and I honestly cannot remember. Guess that shows how much I paid attention to it!

I didn't know the titles had disappeared until I saw this thread. When did that happen? LOL!

There are limits to all this equality!

But seriously, post count exists on many similar forums even when there has never been ranks or titles.

It's interesting to see an indication of how many posts someone has made and having to go to their profiles just to get that information would be a lot of work, especially given the volume of contributions.

It does give an indication of active contributions made by individual members "at a glance" and, given the loss of ranks and titles, is still some form of visible acknowledgement.

The total Post Count of any member can be found in the upper right hand corner of each and every post. Right under the persons join date and geographical location.
