I like the new cleaner look a lot. It seems easier to navigate.

the colors and larger/darker font have improved since the initial launch. I like it.

The colors and font are much easier on my eyes now, thanks!
Has anyone had any profile messages or PMs lately? I received a note on my profile wall, but I don't remember seeing an actual notification about it -- I usually hit my profile anyway, and that's how I found it. I used to see a section that appeared near my info at the top on the old version of this board that let me know I had a profile message. PMs used to have a pop-up window notifying me (I don't know if it's doing this now because I have not received one since the upgrade).
I wish I had taken a better look this morning before I went to my profile, but I was on my iPhone and wasn't fully awake yet. It's a little harder for me to spot things on the iPhone screen, but I've usually been able to. Didn't see anything this morning. That's why I thought I'd ask... if the notifications have changed, I did like those.

FYI, Steve and I exchanged some PMs yesterday and that pop-up notification works just like before.

I like the new version of the colours better than the "first draft", the posts are much easier to read.
I know Steve said a few posts back that they are working on the tartan border which I think will enhance the appearance of the site.
Any word on whether or not the Rankings will be returned?
Keep up the good work Steve (and moderators)

Thanks for letting me know, Sydnie! Glad to hear the PM notification pop-up is still working. I wasn't sure, since both had different kinds of notifications on the old version of the board. Like I said though, for all I know there was one for my profile message and I just didn't see it due to being on a small screen and having to navigate it differently than I do on my laptop. If there was one, it might have been in a section I couldn't see due to being zoomed in and having to drag the screen to go where I wanted to click next.

Font colors? What font colors? Did something go away that I haven't heard about yet?
Ali, can you be a bit more specific about what you mean. As I type this I am able to use colors.
I can use different fonts.
And I can make the letters different sizes.
The smilies seem to work. shock:
What am I missing?

One more convenience thing, when I click on a vendor link, rather than open the vendors site in a new tab, it opens it in the tab XMTS is in. I like to have the various web sites I'm monitoring through out the day open in different tabs or if I'm doing research following links from one site to another I like being able to keep a good site open and still get back to the previous site by just clicking the tab. As it is, I have to reopen XMTS from a bookmark or as I do on other sites, remember to right click links and tell them to open in a new tab. As I said, it is a convenience that was very nice in the old setup.

Unless I am missing a way how to do this, I still have to hit back button, for example from this post, six times to get back to the new posts. If I hit go to first page, then I still have to use the back button six times or so to get to the new posts. What do the others do when they are done reading a post of many pages, hit the back button until you get to the new posts, or is there an easier way?
