Perfect fit and that is one happy fella modeling. Congratulations on the acquisition.

That second pic down is a great example of a flared rise. I'll bet that is a very comfortable kilt to wear.

Thanks for all the great comments! I do love this thing. Wally is surely gifted . Number 35 is a true work of art! What kiltmanship (is there such a word?)!!

Yes, the flared rise is wonderful. I had it on for five hours on Saturday, and it didn't even begin to bother me...extremely comfortable.!

Wow. It looks wonderfully made. It appears as if it was made while you were in the shop, and they could reconfirm each measurement.

I've looked at this post four times now--great pics! I really like the way the Waterfall Kilt logo is embroidered onto the lining...that is carftsmanship.

    Den,
I also love that shot...it made me realize why the current kilt I have keeps sliding down...because it doesn't have that...it's improperly constructed at the top...it continues to taper in above the waist buckle (which, by the way, is only at 1.25" from the top...not the typical 2" rise). I will definitely not be making this same mistake with the kilts I'm about to start making.

But to the point of the post...I love the kilt, it looks like it fits great, and it's a beautiful tartan!!

    Longhuntr,

Thanks! Yes, it fits extremely well. I almost want to do away with my other kilts. Unfortunately, I'd end up spending a fortune having Wally make me more. Of course he'd love that.

    Cheers,

    Den
