Italian-American Tartan 13oz: Any interest in a kilt?
Greetings friends,
I am tossing around the idea of having Rocky at USAK make another kilt for me in the Italian American Tartan, this time in 13oz fabric, with somewhat "sportier" dimensions. The smallest swatch of fabric he can get is 18yds, of which I only need 4-5 for myself, and a little less for a skirt for my girlfriend. My options are to have Rocky make the two items, and "Space Bag" the excess for a future project or find someone else to go in on the cost with me.
Please ask your Guido pals if they might be interested in this opportunity and have them get in touch with Rocky!
Thanks in advance,
Tony

I looked at it on the Tartan Ferret and it's a good looking tartan. My nephew is half Italian. I'll ask him if he's interested.

That would be excellent... Rocky thinks there will be enough for a 3rd, but if there is enough interest, my GF can wait for hers, lol

Just to clarify a few points...
I can get it woven with a 13 - 15 yard minimum. The price would be the same as any of the 'Old and Rare' tartans from HOE or Lochcarron. $360 - $400 for a 5 Yard Kilt or $555 to $595 for an 8 Yard Premier.
I know Tony's excited about the design and I will say it did make a nice kilt for his first one!
