Sorry another off topic, with a vote for AVG, it took ages to clear Norton off my computers and it's not going back.

Our tech manager swears by AVG also. I've been running it now for 6 months and it really works.

Do you have a link to the AVG free version to download?

Not to dispute you either, just want to point out that while you protest that Norton is the best, it's flagging Keltoi's website as a security risk. AVG or MSE have not.

About AVG, if you're an avid computer gamer, stay away from their free version. Every 30 mins or so AVG will force minimize your game to the desktop. They're aware of the issue but have no plans to change it as the paid version does not have this behavior.
Instead, may I humbly suggest Kaspersky.

I have a PayPal account and it's a good thing. For some it's stodgy, obtuse, but its function to act as escrow for delivery of goods is perfect. Many vendors use it because it affords protection for buyer and seller.
Protection is good, from predation and from viruses
I'm not a gamer but since I was once a windows/PC users I'm well familiar with some -not all of the problems that pop up in windows. The biggest problem for me was cost of ownership. With PC's there's a constant force of monetary flow out of my pocket into the cyberworld. POOF! money gone - popup windows still present and time blown in trying to figure out the bugs and panels the persist when I've already installed the best doctors, protectors, or firewalls. Many hundreds of dollars on virus protection and a half dozen computers later I finally quit. I put my good money on that dreaded "MAC" computer. The brand I swore not to own because I don't know unix, MAC isn't an "Open GL" and its proprietary software means fewer applications are available. Well, since going to MAC I've never experienced a virus attack enough to cause a system failure. There are more and more cross platform applications available. I've only experienced application conflicts that led to a crash. Even at "known to be dangerous" sites I'm unaffected by viruses that try to get in. Mainly because Apple has a free upgrade available to all OS users. That in addition to the fact that viruses typically target C++ platform software and MAC's proprietary unix software is more difficult to hack I'm happier as a camper in my MAC environment.
It aint so bad being a MAC user. Actually, I love it. NOT ONE PENNY spent on virus protection, high risk on line site activity and NO troubles. I still love the PC experience for its programming openness, VB etc.
btw: I've set my advanced firewall protection to "stealth mode." Which I'm told, makes my computer invisible to pings.
Go, have fun, don't work at, make it fun! Kilt them, for they know not, what they wear. Where am I now?
