maybe someday though. I would love to meet you then Jock and anyone else-- my heart will be there until that time
don't have too much fun without me.

Oh dear Ali, such are the dismal realities of life that do get in the way of things(just like Grant ). Nevermind, one of these days you will make it over here and you never know we may even meet up. I would like that very much. In the meantime I will see if I can take more pictures of the Highlands for you and every one else to enjoy.

Rex you are so right not to hike on your own and I have to admit that I was wondering about the wisdom of you taking on your proposed stroll alone. You know I used to wander the hills alone in my youth and loved it----for a while. Then I found that I was desperate to share the views and the sights of the wildlife and flowers and I have never ventured out on my own for many decades now. The penny only then dropped, that in fact the hills are, on occasion, a very dangerous and scary place to be on your own. Yes a wee dram and a bite to eat with you sounds a very pleasant scheme.

I did as well, Jock, and until fairly recently I'm afraid. I did have a nasty little weather experience in the Lairig Ghru about a decade ago and that made me change my ways. I may yet find someone to walk the Corrieyairack with me this year, but otherwise I'll just postpone it. You are so right about sharing -- especially in that amazing environment.

No, I'm afraid you have to excahnge it for one of those gowns that leaves you exposed to the world. That's OK if you have tight little buns like Grant, but for the rest of us....
