I've really been enjoying The McCallan 12 year lately - love the peat! Other favorites include Bruichladdich and Laphroaig! Really... anything Islay will do... and if not, well, I've never said no nor didn't enjoy any scotch what has been offered to me - single malt or blend - as they all have such unique characters.
Participated in a scotch tasting this past Burns night... what a treat!

After a week like I have had this week it will be the first bottle my hand reaches when I open the liquor cabinet. Double, no triple, neat.
Repeat as needed until symptoms are relieved.

Craganmore suits me just well, but I'm in an open relationship as far as scotch is concerned.

I'm normally an Islay man..I like Laphroig Quarter Cask all out of proportion to what would be seemly if I indulged myself.
That said, I recently had brunch with my daughters and my grandson and all that was available was the MacCallan 18.
I enjoyed it immensely...it is a fine breakfast dram. (I'm told the 20 is even better)

Thank you.
Just call me DW...the only reason that I use the whole thing (DWFII) is that most forums won't accept just DW.

I tend to prefer to swill Laphroag 10 year old when I can. It seems to be the one I keep regularly on hand. Arbeg would be another. I am a peathead what can I say?

Dalwhinnie is what I look for as I scan the bars upper shelves.
Will settle for an Oban since it seems to be more prevalent.
Still tasting and seeking here. But I like the ease of attack, mellow fruity, bright mouth with a very short linger of Dalwhinnie.
Hope to learn more here!

Had some very nice Campbelltown Glen Scotia last eve, courtesy of the wife, waiting for me on the kitchen counter when I walked through the door from work (the scotch, not my wife). A little bitey at the front, but then very nice on the finish.
