Macdonalds and MacLeods were also Islanders...wonder if there's any mention of the Island clans...guess I'll have to watch.

Indeed Ron!
The MacLeod episode in particular deals with the Island conflicts between the MacLeods & MacDonalds.

I've been told just this evening by the OP on youtube that he'll be posting the rest of the series in the very near future! He'll also let me know too, so when he does I'll add them in the first posting above (& I'll post a notice too)

Thank you for posting these links. I've just spent the afternoon watching them and I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of the series.

The only real glaring error I've seen so far was in episode 2 of the MacLeods, where Murton claims that the Battle of Coire Na Creiche (1601) was the last clan battle in the whole of Scotland.
Actually the distinction of last clan vs clan battle (not counting lesser known or long forgotten wee skirmishes) would be the Battle of Maol Ruadh (Mulroy, Maoile Ruaidh) which was fought in August 1688 in the Lochaber district of Scotland between the Chattan Confederation led by the Clan Mackintosh against the Clan Macdonell of Keppoch and the Clan Cameron.
The Macdonell's won that battle
You can read more about the Battle of Mulroy (& see some photos of the site) in these threads:

Just figured out how to post the actual video to this thread, so now you all won't have to open up a new window to view them!
Enjoy!
