Thanks for the congratulations, everyone.
Diane is absolutely thrilled and it's a really big weight off in some ways.
You guys are wonderful people!
KiltedKnome, it's just expensive and it's been kind of a long process. The only real problem we have now is actually applying for it. It's just over $2000 US and I had saved the money in Scotland by working overtime. However my bank there have refused to release the money unless I am in the bank or allow my dad to have power of attorney so the banking ombudsman are basically taking them to court over it to get my money released. WE have no idea how long it will take.
Once I finally can apply it'll be about 2-4 months and then I can work and save money to visit my family back in Scotland.
We'll get there eventually and it looks a lot closer now that Diane has a better job.

Congratulations from a retired Civil Service Human Services administrator.
My daughter is a counselor for adults with mental illness and has cycled through several employers trying to practice her profession -- and eat.
Making a living in "the industry" can truly be as difficult as was acquiring, and then applying those skills.
Best wishes.

I am happy for the both of you! Nothing is more fustrating than to work for someone who takes advantages your your skills..been there, done that.. She will shine in her new job, and I hope they will notice the "gem" they found, and even move her up, as they see what she is capable of doing.
Best of luck to you both and glad you are having a good week!
