    The toorie does not have to be all one color. If you wear the Balmoral with a tartan kilt, why not pick two or three colors int he tartan and wind them together as outlined above? If you have a khaki-colored or camo kilt, you could find some yarns that complement or contrast with it and make one form those colors. Black, tan and green would make a good toorie to wear with a camo kilt, for example. (If it's jungle camo, that is! )
