[QUOTE=Hothir Ethelnor;871269]Now, he is charging extra for USD checks sent to him. and instead of doing a bunch of math and trying to work with the exchange rate to make sure he has his money. I am wondering if someone who has paypal could expedite the process and get me one./QUOTE]

You know, it may not do much good, but I'm going to email the chief & ask if he might consider setting up a paypal account.

Can't your bank issue you a cheque (fancy foreign spelling!) in GBP's with only a small fee? I know that my debit card does the conversion directly and the fee is pretty minimal.

I checked and with a fancy-pants premium credit card I can still get free money orders, any currency. The same card also provides automatic travel insurance and 90 day loss/theft insurance plus up to one year extended warranties over the manufactor's- I get all that for a fairly low fee, I mean I would if not for the +18% interest on balances carried over... which... happens....

Well - the cheque, and covering letter, should be there soon.

The great advantage with PayPal is that it is so fast, I have had an enquiry come in from the US one weekend and the requested item be in the purchaser's hands by the end of the week.

No waiting for the cheque to clear - or even an opportunity to get to the bank.

Well, I asked & I was right, it didn't do much good. The Chief wishes to stick to the status quo on the ordering set-up
