Oot and aboot in Vegas
Ok the dreaded moment has come where I open myself up for criticism. I recently received my Tank from the kiltmakers in Scotland. After being on the forum here at XMTS I feel that I have acheived a LOT more understanding of proper kilt wearing. I thank you all for the advise and critique of others and I hope I have not failed or made a spectacle of myself in public. I do have to say that I received nothing but good comments and even a few young ladies screaming "We love your kilt!" from 20 meters away in a crowded casino. Please let me know if there may be anything I can do better for Tartan day and the upcoming Las Vegas Highland Games.

That third photo's brilliant - caught by the paparazzi, right enough!
If that's the effect putting your kilt on has, I wouldn't worry about asking for advice from anyone else.
Enjoy every sandwich.

You wear the kilt well.
Only suggestions are to ditch that sporran chain and get a leather sporran strap and maybe, consider wearing the kilt without a belt....
I'm always kilted when in Las Vegas...good to see more locals there kilted during the day.
Not sure if I'll make the games there yet. Never been, but gonna be driving through town on the way home that weekend. Depends upon how I'm feeling or how anxious I am to get home.

I think the belt's the very dab when you're going that casual.
"The very dab" = on the money, for anyone that's not sure.
Enjoy every sandwich.

Here are some of us right after the massed pipe bands marched down Fremont Street, Saturday night of the Vegas Games weekend, last year:

It is the Galloway District Tartan the same as my avatar. My last name is Galloway and since we havent explored our ancestral lineage I felt comfortable wearing it, without the worry of stepping on anyones toes.

Goes to show a kilt well presented is most often well received.

Looks good!
I couldn't see a sgian dubh in the photos (it may have been there with just the wrong angle to see it in the photos).
It looks like your kilt pin was attached a little high (although there isn't any exact place to put it, and no one else will probably complain).
With so much to look at and see in Vegas, doesn't it feel good to know so many are looking at you!?! It easily converts even the most intraverted person to the life of the party. It is a confidence booster to say the least!
