I wish you success. I am one of the sponsors. We hope to start a tradition of piping at Northeastern.

Was at the Old Mill Restaurant in Westminster (about 50 miles west of Boston)on Saturday evening, kilted in the pub as usual. A patron at the bar, upon seeing my kilt, asked if there had been a Scottish event since he had been in Boston earlier in the day and had seen a number of kilties in the Northeastern area. I told him that they were most likely participants in the bagpipe competition. It is amazing how the word gets around and how people are so receptive to a kilt! Unfortunately I was unable to attend but hope that the Northeastern competition was a great success. Is there a possibility that this could become an annual event? What a great opportunity to build upon and perhaps it might grow into a kilted Boston weekend! The possibilities are almost endless.

Old Mill - Wow, that brings back memories!

I grew up in Hudson and we would head to the Old Mill a few times a year for special occassions.

My lovely wife and I live in Fitchburg. We routinely eat at the Old Mill - usually in the pub. Very kilt friendly environment. In fact, once or twice a month the pub has an entertainer named Jeremy Bell who plays celtic music - usually on a Friday night. Jeremy is a Scottish emigrant who often performs wearing the kilt and he delights in seeing other kilties in the audience.

While living in Hudson, did you ever venture over to the Old Timer Pub and Restaurant in Clinton? It is an Irish, kilt-friendly establishment that has a bang-up Saint Paddy's Day.

Perhaps sometime when you are down from Maine we could arrange to have a kilted night out at the Old Mill, the Old Timer, or another establishment?

Of course I have been to the Old Timer and I know Clinton well!

Earliest memory of Clinton is going to see then Pres. Carter at the town hall in 1977.

I played for the Hawks against the Gaels and later played for the Marlboro Shamrocks and we would play the Clinton Irish Blizzard at Fuller Field

My sister and family now live in Clinton.

The next time you are planning a trip to Clinton, let me know and we'll make it a kilted gathering!
