Ya, snapping it can be a problem because you can't put your thumb behind the snap to push on both sides. You end up pushing against what ever is in your sporran.
One of those magnetic snap things that close themselves would be good for a sporran flap.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
