.
I'm pretty sure those AREN'T white. For a reference in the shot, look at the checks on HRH's hose tops... THAT is white.
I believe that the hose in question, when seen in person are probably more of a Aran / lt. beige / warm creme colour.

The Duke of Rothesay in action
I found some video that shows the The Duke of Rothesay wearing his kilt. I thought they'd be a nice break from still photos
The Duke and Duchess of Rothesay in Scotland
The Duke of Rothesay speaks during a visit to Perth
The Duke of Rothesay gives an interview during a visit to Perth. He talks about the importance of local sourcing after a visit to a food market in the town, his visit to Balhousie Castle to meet with soldiers from the Black Watch regiment and the launch of the new Start initiative aimed at helping people take positive action to prevent climate change.
Stanley Mills: Preserving Scotland's Heritage
The Duke of Rothesay, as The Prince of Wales is known in Scotland, visits the restored Stanley Mills in Perth, Scotland in June 2010. His Royal Highness's charity, The Prince's Regeneration Trust (PRT), worked with partners such as Historic Scotland in order to undertake the complex and costly task of reviving the badly neglected buildings. During The Duke's visit, the PRT receive a prestigious Europa Nostra award, which recognises the importance of Stanley Mills to Scotland's built heritage.
Unfortunately, as the following video has their embedding disabled, you will have to go to the source to view:

My wife and I went to the movie King's Speech and there was a segment where George VI was wearing a kilt on a visit to Balmoral Castle. Thoroughly enjoyed the movie. All characters well drawn except for Winston Churchill who came off as a small man with a perpetual dour look.
