The first "Surprise Kilt Afternoon" went off without a hitch!
In attendance were Sionnach, Muffinman & his wife, Spartan and myself.
My impressions:
I found the food to be tasty (I had the fish & chips), although I could have used another fillet!
The prices were a bit high, but not too unreasonable for the amount of food served and the venue being a specialty place, i.e., an "Irish Pub". (I'll let the others give their own reviews, but everyone said the food was good.)
The service was friendly & efficient. Our drinks were kept full and once our order was taken, the food came out in a reasonable amount of time...and it was hot!
I liked the ambiance, as it wasn't crowded or noisy. No doubt that wouldn't be the case during busy times or in the evenings, as they are set up for a live band to play. (Muffinman-Now that I think about it, that was one of the reasons that I liked the afternoon time rather than the evening..I don't care for "noisy & crowded"!)
The location for me was excellent, as I just live a few minutes away, but getting out this way from other parts of the valley (even the Glendale/Peoria area) is a bit 'traffic challenging' since the only way to get out here is via Grand Ave or Bell Rd. Maybe we'll try the evening next time since the the traffic should be a bit lighter.
Overall, it was a nice lunch with good company! Hopefully we'll get to do it again!
Here is the picture commemorating the event:

Sorry Catdad, only one picture. Thank You! to Muffinman's wife (I can't remember her name and I forgot to ask) for taking the picture for me!

ETA: I almost forgot the best part...
As we were leaving, we walked past a table of 4 patrons. Someone in the party obviously said something to one of the other patrons about the kilts, as I heard one of the men say, "We're in an Irish Pub, what else would you expect to see??"! I think I got that right and should have posted the minute I got home!

Now I am sorry I missed it. My plans for Country Thunder changed at the last minute and had I known a little sooner about that, I could have made it up there. Oh well, I hope you do it again soon and the schedule will work out!
Thanks for the review!

Wish you could have made it Catdad!
Yep, the consensus was to do it again. If we do, we could always try during the summer, before all of the snowbirds return. The traffic still stinks, but it's usually not as bad as the 'cooler' months. (IMO, it's always bad, but I'm used to working nights and driving around w/out a lot of traffic, so driving during the day really gets on my nerves!)
