Thanks, Chris. Interesting, isn't it, that just a year after the battle the military map reveals such faulty memory? Or was the Jacobite line altered somewhat for reasons beyond our knowing today?

I've read about this unfortunatly never been able to get there, (yet), one day hopefully. Tain as well.

I know there were Jackobite supporters in Clan Ross.
Does anyone know if there is any reference to them at the site?

Thanks, all, for the timely remembrance. I have been there once, in high summer, I had a very similar feeling of the place. I commend it to anyone with a connection to Britain, and I hope to see the new visitor centre one day.
