Today you are on a trip to Skye. The road from Fort William via Glengarry(Invergarry) and on to the Skye Bridge is arguably one of the most scenic in the UK.
The Battle of Glenshiel(1719).
On to Eilean Donan Castle. Not sure what the pilot was up to!
Over the skye Bridge. A fantastic bit of engineering. Skye is to the left.
To Skye.
More to follow.

Make sure you sing the "Boat Song" while you're at Skye!

Of course we just had to visit the Talisker Distillery. Not too sure whether its my eyes out of focus, or the camera.
Onto Dunvegan, where we had hoped to take you around the castle(home of the Chief of Clan MacLeod)------no such luck! There were major scaffolding works going on, so we got as far as the door.
We did manage to get a cup of coffee from the very apologetic staff though. No one's fault, just one of those things and we were having fun!
As we were driving home, the clouds lifted for a couple of minutes and I managed to get a shot of part of the Coulin Mountains that Skye is famous for.
More tomorrow.

The Saltire's sealed orders were opened this morning and her orders were "to proceed, forthwith, at her best speed ......". Destination? Well you will have to wait and see! We have enjoyed the company of the Saltire very much and we also hope that the members of Xmarks have enjoyed a brief look at this bit of the world. Fair thee well, wee craft.
