I use badges from Art Pewter Scotland of Kilbride-I like the look and the weight is ideal. I am working on having my armiger badge produced.

    That's always a great idea for a cockade. You can buy the appropriate colors in 1" grosgrain (or thereabouts) and make a simple saltire cross to sew on behind your badge.

    Well, actually, you sew it on first and then you pin on the badge such that the cockade is behind it. But . . . you get the idea.

    Actually I am planning on obtaining a second (black coloured) bonnet & making one in the livery colours for it....the current bonnet w/ the tartan swatch is more of my daily wear/knock around cap
