Kalamazoo!
I just made my travel arrangements in regard to the annual International Medieval Congress in Kalamazoo MI. It's always a busy conference for me - the only time I ever get to meet up with certain colleagues and collaborators. However, I have no particular plans the night I get there (Wednesday 12 May, after 8 or 9pm) or, more importantly, on my final afternoon: the conference ends Sunday, 16 May at noon, and I only need to get my rental vehicle back to the airport in Grand Rapids around 5:30pm. If anyone in the area feels like getting together for lunch and beer that day, let me know...

Does this have anything to do with "De Re Militari"? I used to belong but have been moving around so much lately that I no longer have a membership. Just curious is all, sounds like a really interesting conference.

It's a huge conference, but De re militari do indeed regularly sponsor sessions and hold their annual business meeting there. Do you know Kelly DeVries, perchance? He at least was heavily involved in that organisation...

No afraid I do not. I was one of those very inactive members who just like to peruse the website and receive their annual journal.

Unfortunately I have Family obligations that weekend.
If I lived on that side of the state I might have been able to sneak in a pint or two.
