When last we checked, I was about to save my dear wife from the deep snow that carpeted western Pennsylvania in February. Now completely thawed out, we return to our regular kilting ....
Recent kilted happenings in my life -- bought kilt number 3 .. a solid black 16 ounce-er from kiltmart. More on that in a minute.
Rewind to December .. raised eyebrows last December when my wife and I attended the Knights of Columbus Christmas Dinner with me kilted in my McLaren. The grumpy old men didn't quite know what to say! We were, of course, the best dressed couple there.
And then the cold and snow hit -- as did a broken elbow. That was reason enough to contemplate and act on buying another kilt.
The snow melted and it was out the door to the Rock'n'Roll Hall of Fame in my Stillwater Irish Saffron.
Two week later, wore my McLaren to a performance of Nunsense.
Yesterday my wife and I went to a local flower show. While there an elderly lady in a wheelchair had her caretaker wheel her over to me. She said 'May I ask you a question?' I replied 'Yes'. She then asked if that 'was a kilt I was wearing'. I replied yes. Then with a twinkle in her eye, she asked, giggling, 'May I asked if you are wearing underpants?' I howled! "Yes, Of course!"
Now -- as to the new kilt. My wife and I are both devout Catholics, and for a whole whack of reasons previously had a civil marriage. Now that some details (annulments) have been worked out, we are preparing for a proper church wedding. And yes, yours truly will be kilted
Following that I'm looking forward to a kilted weekend in New York City!
