Not a problem and you would usually be right in that a Dukedom is normally conferred upon sons of the Monarch at marriage. Several vacant royal dukedoms would have been available when he married but the intention was announced he will take over the Dukedom of Edinburgh once it "reverts to the Crown" i.e. on the demise of the current holder.
