You have said on this forum many times that trying to get everything to match isn't the Highland way.

I agree, and think she would be better off harmonising rather than matching.

Guys, it's time to quit obsessing over how HRH the Duchess of Cornwall is dressed... (SHEESH! talk about wandering off-off topic...)

Agreed, Scott. I have even begun to regret my one post regarding the subject, if only for the fact that it prolonged the agony.

    Regards,

    Brian

Good point cousin. I think some of us (myself included) get bored sometimes and look for anything to talk about, but this topic has certainly been exhausted!

Let's shift the discussion to her hair style shall we?

I've got no idea whether this is the right thread to say this (I'm easily confused), but does anyone else think that even if the Highland way is, apparently, not to bother about bits of your clothing "matching", part of the reason Prince Charles invariably looks so good is that he's always perfectly coordinated, er, colour-wise?
    Enjoy every sandwich.

Perhaps this is the time to point out that Charles isn't a Highlander.

But he IS a damned fine dresser in the true Highland fashion. If Jock's got no complaints... well, that's the gold standard for me

Weeel nowww if you want me to split a very thin hair, I would really prefer if his day jackets had gauntlet cuffs, but there we go.

Chaps don't forget that the Prince's mother does have a rather extensive pad in the Highlands and the Prince does have a splendid castle in Caithness. His late Grand Mother was from impeccable Highland stock too.

Personal style, isn't it Jock? I like his shawl-collar waistcoats, but that's a personal style, too.

We must not forget that he has two valets in Scotland alone, just helping him maintain his impeccable style. And a life-time of being in amongst those whose dress comes naturally to them because they, too, have had a life-time -- and on and on.

    Rex
